ME240 Machine Design With SolidWorks
Machine design; the study of the fundamentals of using SolidWorks. Solving engineering problems via solid modeling and simulation. Prerequisites: ME106, MA120
At this time, I am an adjunct professor at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, where I teach great students SolidWorks. SolidWorks is an advanced modeling software employing a feature-based approach to modeling for engineers and designers.
Furthermore, to learning advanced techniques in SolidWorks, students also gain the fundamentals of product design:
- User and functional requirement generation
- Brainstorming, idea creation
- Screening and ranking
- Prototyping
- Detailed design
- Testing and verification
- Documentation
